In “Mujer en la Playa”, we can clearly appreciate Quessadas’ technical abilities. Using only a few lines and ill defined traces, he expertly managed to express complete images.
Following the tendencies of the time, he altered the size and shape of the limbs and feet of the subject, and used a composition where the location of the main character was the most relevant aspect. Always using traces that inspite of being caorse and loose would acréate harmony within the image.
Jose was widley inspired by Works, like “Madre e Hijo” by Pablo Picasso, who was also a great fan of the abstract.
